It's enough to make make me weep.
In an article about "Sarah McBride’s bid to become first openly transgender person in US Congress" (www.cnn.com/2024/09/10/politics/sarah-mcbride-delaware-transgender-congress/index.html) I spotted an error:
It looks as is James Whalen IIII may be her opponent. But wait! Isn't 4 written as "IV" when using Roman numbering? Yes indeed it is. Some nitwit made two typos at the same time. Not a world's record, I'm sure, but maybe a personal best.
It turns out that "James Whalen IIII" is actually James Whalen III. Our grade school teachers would be proud. The byline is attributed to "Associated Press, CNN" so blame can be shared, With the byline "Associated Press, CNN" blame can be shared.
